Lower-risk MDS

• Definition of “Lower-risk” MDS is based on prognostic scoring systems:
  • IPSS: ≤1 (Low = 0; Int-1 = 0.5-1)
  • IPSS-R: ≤ 3.5 (Very low: ≤ 1.5; Low = > 1.5-3.0; Int = > 3.5)
• MDS risk is calculated by using the following prognostic scoring systems:
  • IPSS,
  • WPSS,
  • MPSS,
  • IPSS-R,
  • CCSS,
  • IPSS-M,
  • MDS-FI
